Jim McCabe is the chief executive officer of Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh. He was appointed in November 2009, and before moving to Bangladesh he was based in Singapore, where he was the group head of operations for the global bank.
Jim has held a range of senior management positions within Standard Chartered in the Americas as well as Asia. He joined Standard Chartered in December 2000 as the wholesale banking risk head for North East Asia, and then moved on to become the CEO of the Americas in 2002 based in New York before becoming CEO, Standard Chartered Bank, Taiwan between 2006 and 2008.
Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Jim was the president of Bank of America in Mexico.
Jim holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona, USA.
